AVALIAÇÃO DO EFEITO ANTIMICROBIANO DE GERADOR DE OZÔNIO POR ALTA FREQUÊNCIA CONTRA PSEUDOMONAS AERUGINOSA.

Resumo

Patógenos como Enterococcus faecium, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumonie, Acinetobacter baumannii, Pseudomonas auruginosa e Enterobacter ssp são organismos que podem causar sérios problemas a saúde em função da resistência medicamentosa que eles podem apresentar. Portanto, estudos de métodos alternativos de controle destes microrganismos se fazem necessários. Para tanto, culturas de Pseudomonas aeruginosa foram expostas, por 10 minutos, a ozônio produzido por campo eletromagnético induzido por alta frequência. O eletrodo foi posicionado em duas alturas do meio de cultura, 0mm e 5mm. Os resultados demonstraram que este tipo de tecnologia pode ser útil no controle de Pseudomonas, contudo é necessário que haja faiscamento. Na presença de faiscamento, a proliferação de Pseudomonas na região abaixo do eletrodo foi significativamente menor que no controle.
